Villa Teresa is a hostel designed in one of the most luxurious residences of Havana located on the very top of the Loma del Mazo, the highest elevation of the urbanized area of the city of Havana, with 76 meters above sea level, it also has a spectacular viewpoint with a panoramic view of the city that reaches beyond the 20 kilometers to the round which allows to visualize the cuban capital in all its splendor.
This, in particular, is one of the most spectacular in the city and its history goes back to one of the most famous families of Havana between the 19th and 20th centuries, the Calvo family, When the famous audalado left in his will an heir with the condition of granting a quarter of the property to Manuel Otaduy, part of the will that was not fulfilled, although Mr. Manuel was assigned a large enough amount to build this palace as his residence for a few years, until he sold it to the owner of the famous Ingelmo shoe factory which he dined until 1959, when they left the country, passing from that moment to different owners who let him destroy until it was turned into ruins,it was acquired in 2014 by its current owners who subjected it to a conscientious capital restoration for which the materials, hardware and furniture were imported from Italy in order to replace those of the very damaged baths of the mansion, in order to give it back its original image and the same glamour he had enjoyed in his golden years.
